Hello,

the version of Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830) increased, new
URL:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/a/a/4aa524c6-239d-47ff-860b-5b397199cbf8/Windows-KB890830-V1.37.exe

Maybe, another download method would fit the often changing KB better?

The question I've been asking myself is: Do we really need to install this? What's the advantage over the long list of disadvantages like the constantly changing url, the 404 errors we get for removed files and the hanging windows installations when the file isnt found on the share?

I dunno, I never installed it myself, as I install a real "malicious tool"
scanner. However, I guess that SP3 will ship the Defender included, like
Vista already.

Sorry about that, I do not use win2000 or win2003 server, so I am unable
to test if they work the patches, so I do not do aything about them. I
am happy to apply somebody else patches.

For winxpsp1-updates.bat, It should be delete mostly all the patches
except the ServicePack 2, so when they reboot the system becames sp2.

ok, nice to know. Updated for win2k and ws2k3, but it does not mean that
they have all the security updates "up to date". Someone that use those
systems should check that out.
